Hernandez Injury Latest…

Hernandez injury Petr Cech

A quick and not particularly good photoshop to start the week. Forgive the lack of updates. I’ve been laid up with some malicious bug clearly directed my way by United fans and I wasn’t feeling any better after yesterday’s results. Needless to say, I think we should cancel the rest of the season for the sake of my mental health…

Benfica 1 United 1

Alex Ferguson and the Champions League's most boring tie

I know… Not the most inspired bit of Photoshopping you’ll see on the web today but I’m in a strangely uninspired moods today. Can’t get my mind working. I suppose it’s unsurprising that I have mornings like this but I promise to try harder this afternoon. I have a cartoon I’ve started to draw but it will take about a day to finish, unless it runs over the page and then it will be two or more. Is it worth it? I ask myself that every day and I have no idea. Just please, if you haven’t, go buy the book and review it if you can. Sales translated directly into my enthusiasm to update this blog.

Happy Birthday!

To mark the one-month birthday of this blog (cue the bunting and balloons), I’m offering my book free to blog readers for a limited period. It’s my way of thanking you for dropping in regularly and being such a generally handsome bunch with exceedingly good taste. Send me your email address via smooch@damnunited.com and I’ll send you either an ePub of PDF version of the book (please specify).

The only thing I ask is the very smallest favour in return. I’d really appreciate if you could pop over to Amazon (or, if it’s easier, the iBookstore) and write a quick review of the book. Now, I know what you’re thinking: there had to be a catch, nothing in life is free and I really can’t be arsed writing a review. But as an added incentive, if you provide a convenient postal address, I’ll send you a unique signed hand-drawn cartoon that can be framed, used as a bookmark, or folded and kept in your inside coat pocket to be used to scribble down horse-racing tips. Who knows, if the book sells enough copies thanks to your (hopefully) glowing review, the cartoon might be worth a fortune and you’ll think it the best investment of time and energy you’ve made since you last put money on Barcelona to beat United in a Champion’s League Final. At the very least, you’ll have unique memento of the time you made a lifelong friend in the form of Smooch Papandreas.

So, there you have it. A free ebook is yours with the promise of a unique curio to follow. What are you waiting for? Email me now so I can get started on your cartoon!
